Things aren’t really official until they are Facebook official. So, two or so weeks ago we announced on Facebook that we’re expecting. Yep, I’m pregnant.

I’ve wondered how to announce this on the blog, I mean I have some pretty savvy business clients who read this and pregnancy is not typically a topic of conversation in the business world. I also have crafty folks, photography clients, friends and complete strangers who read this so I figure when it comes right down to it we’re all people and I’m for honesty and being real and so here I am, announcing that I’m growing a human.

Balancing work and pregnancy and eventually a kid has been a concern of mine. To be honest the first three months were hellish. I felt lied to. Everyone said how magical pregnancy was and I just felt like crap. Liars. Luckily things were slow around the Diliberto Photo & Design office and it was good because I felt like death. But we’ve launched into the second trimester and I feel awesome, lots of energy and best of all I feel like myself again. Which all has been perfect timing because as soon as that second trimester rolled around three huge projects hit and 3DCAMP is in just a few days and preparation has been going full force.

So what’s next? Well I keep going. I’m stoked about the design projects we’re working on right now and the shoots we have booked. I’m feeling energetic and inspired and ready to create some really really great work. I’m also pumped to be entering this new stage of life and the parent club. Bill and I have a pretty good idea of how things will roll once the kid gets here, at least we have a plan. We’ll see how that goes…

…Since we waited to announce the pregnancy we really wanted to do something special. My good friend Andrea from Ethan Avery Photography and I collaborated on a fun photo shoot and she took some amazing shots. I love that I know creative people, it’s the best. Anyways, here are a few of my favorites.

Baby Announcement

And of course, here’s a picture of the kid.

Yay! Baby Sizemore! Will you be finding out the gender?
We did but it didn’t help our name picking. Not with Roxy anyway, but I’m sure you remember that. With Haven we chose sooner but still not straight away.
We wanted to name her Astrid so badly, but it would have been an alliteration. And not a very nice one at that.
Ummmm….you didn’t ask me. My first trimester wasn’t horrid but it wasn’t peachy either. Here is your warning….second time is so much worse because you have a child that won’t allow you those naps that I’m sure you took this time. You will be walking dead. ;D
Also, you chose the perfect birth month.

We will certainly be finding out the gender, as long as the little guy or gal cooperates during the ultrasound. I can’t wait. We’ve got some names picked out but they’re not 100% set in stone, if something more awesome comes to us we’ll go with it.

I definitely took naps. Lots of naps.
