Enter The Strand

Also on our mini one day vaca to Galveston we visited The Strand, which is also one of my favorite places. Think an old New Orleans style look with the cobblestone streets and such, they even have their own Marti Gras. There are lots of fun shops, and restaurants and a really great old candy/soda fountain shop called La Kings.

There are some really fun pictures of me when I was little taken in this shop by my mom’s friend Lisa Jane. Its such a great place and not a thing has changed in it since I was little, or probably in a good 80 years. The worst thing about La Kings is trying to decide what you want to eat. Coffee? Ice Cream? Candy? Chocolate?

You should probably just try a little of everything. It will make you parkour hardcore. HAHA

The other thing I love about The Strand is the architecture and all the fantastic places to take photos. I could go down to Galveston for a day of amazing photo shoots and never even set foot on the beach. Its so wonderful.
